This
has been a busy week – a wonderful week – a week full of books and talking
about books. On Tuesday night I was chatting via Skype on
Blog Talk Radio with Inspirational Storyteller host Nancy Wait in New York. The subject was ‘inspiration’
and the special guest on the show was Linn B Halton, my lovely friend, fellow
author, and the inspirational founder of Loveahappyending.com. Linn has written
a fabulous blog about the programme here and there are links to the show.

Did
you know that yesterday, March 7th, was World Book Day? Billed
as the Biggest Book Show On Earth, the website
is a fabulous resource. If you are a teacher, parent, bookseller, librarian or
journalist – let’s celebrate books and help kids to read and enjoy books in all
formats!
Also
this week, I’d like to thank my writer buddy and fellow Romantic Novelist, Jude Roust. She surprised
and delighted me by posting my debut TV appearance of three years ago to her
blog 'Mad About Romance'. This short ITV news feature came about after I’d had a piece on research published in a writer’s magazine. At the time, I was researching my ‘disgruntled
celebrity chef’ novel Reaching for the
Stars, which caught the attention of a TV Producer. It just goes to show how
one thing can lead to another! You can see the short film on Jude’s blog here.
This
has also been my birthday week – so thank you for all
the lovely messages on Facebook and Twitter and for your emails – I have enjoyed
and appreciated every one!
Thank you to my lovely friend Jeannette for making me this birthday cake!
See you next

Wow, what a big week you've had, Janice! Congrats on all you've achieved and now it's surely time to put up your feet and rest! x
Putting my feet up sounds like a good and rather nice idea, Nicky, so thank you for suggesting it. I can't see it happening though, lol!

But you can't eat all that beautiful cake standing up! Actually, you really can't eat all that cake, Janice. Soooo, um, I quite like cake. ;) Well done, sweetie. Fabulous achievements! :) xx
Just cutting you a nice big slice now Sheryl....

I'll be 'hasting back' for sure! Always something new and refreshing on your blog Janice. So enjoyed the radio show and your wonderful accent is mesmerising! It was great to hear about your feature editor role too, producing Loveahappyending's Bookshelf Reviews and, of course, talking about that 'flavour' of Scotland you bring to your novels! But last, and not least, hope you had one AMAZING birthday lovely lady! Lxx
What a wonderful time you've been having, Janice. Glad you enjoyed your birthday - amazing cake!
Thank you Linn - what a lovely comment. I've done a few radio shows before but have to say that sitting at home and chatting via Skype was much easier and less nerve wracking than being in a studio. You, of course, being so relaxed and chatty helped me too. Let's hope we get more offers in the future - or we might have toconsider setting up our own 'on air' double act!

Thank you Rosemary. I must report that the cake has now disappeared!

Cake!!!!! Happy Birthday!! And I LOVE the tartan background!
Happy Birthday. It was mine on Monday.
Thanks for popping over Carol and I'm thrilled you love the tartan!
Thank you Matt - a fellow Piscean - and Happy Birthday to you for last Monday. Hope it was a good one!

I prefer reading text books to Ebooks because Ebooks are difficult to read and they give pressure to the eyes. To read an Ebook, you have to look constantly on the computer screen which emits harmful rays. Anyways, nice article Janice!
