I’ve got my first of three ‘Scottish
Country Lifestyle’ features going out with Loveahappyending Lifestyle magazine today
– an innovative new online mag that covers some fabulous aspects of life and
living.
In this feature I’m talking about keeping
chickens and there are some photos of my ‘girls’ including this ‘free range’
photo of Kylie on the hill behind our cottage. This is the link if you’d like
to pop over and take a peek!
Haste Ye Over There…!

Lovely piece, Janice. I love your 'girls' names!
I really enjoyed reading about your hens. I wouldn't mind keeping a few, they seem so sweet.
Hi Janice .. loved your practical approach to your 'girls' - the setting looks magical too and I'm sure the family benefit from fresh eggs. We used to keep chickens when I was young for eggs and meat .. they were in a covered run - Mr Fox was well and truly in attendance!
Cheers Hilary
Thank you Joan. We've had a few other famous names in the past including Beyonce!
Hi Georgina - yes, they really are sweet. Do let me know if you do get a few?
Thank you Hilary. We are very lucky to live in this beautiful countryside dispite all the snow this winter. We are also lucky in that as we are surrouned by a shooting estate (pheasant, partridge and grouse) and so the gamekeepers are always vigilent and *touch wood* I've never seen a fox here - so my 'girls' can roam free in relative safety!

Me thinks your "girls" are spoiled. LOL! Loved your article over at Loveahappyending Lifestyle magazine, too.
