This lifestyle article, published in a Christmas Issue of Prima Magazine, was entitled 'Christmas Past and Present' and it was the true life story of how my husband and I downshifted our city lives and moved to the Scottish countryside.

It was great fun to write and even more fun to get the photo that Prima wanted for the feature. The photograph was taken on a hot day in July and I had to pretend it was Christmas. The editor finally chose this photo of me on the doorstep with the doggies from dozens of shots taken that day - including one of me taking a huge cooked turkey out of the Aga!

I was asked to write this lifestyle article by Dr. Heather Currie for the first issue of Menopause Matters magazine. It's the only magazine of its kind specially written for women like me who are experiencing the menopause. In this article I talk about what it's like to experience the menopause at an early age.
